Description / Scope of Work
The Punjab Highways Department invites tenders for the rehabilitation of a road from Piyal Stop to Chakbeli Khan in Rawalpindi District, Punjab. The project involves reconstruction and improvement of approximately 0.75 kilometres of road infrastructure under the financial year 2025-26. This rehabilitation scheme aims to enhance connectivity and road safety in the Rawalpindi area, with work to be executed through the PPRA e-tendering system ensuring transparency and competitive bidding among qualified contractors and engineering firms.
Intending contractors and firms must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council in relevant category codes and possess valid renewed PEC licenses for the financial year 2025-26. All bidders are required to register on the Punjab PPRA website (www.punjab.eprocure.gov.pk) prior to participation. As per PPRA Rules 2014 Clause 27, bid security must be submitted in the form of CDR only, at 5% of the estimated DNIT amount, uploaded half an hour before tender opening. Performance guarantee of 10% contract amount must be furnished within 15 days of receiving the offer letter in favour of the Executive Engineer Highways Division Rawalpindi. Submission of performance guarantee is mandatory for all successful bidders irrespective of contract value.
Bid documents can be obtained from the Punjab PPRA e-procurement website. Tender opening is scheduled for 10-06-2026 at 1300 hours (01:00 PM) at the Commissioner Rawalpindi Division office where all responsive bids will be downloaded and quoted rates announced in the presence of the Tender Opening Committee.
