Description / Scope of Work
The Highways Division Sargodha invites competitive bids for maintenance and repair works on a link road connecting Lahore Sargodha Road to Chak 88/SB in District Sargodha, Punjab. The project scope covers 450 running feet of road work with an approximate cost of Rs. 1.308 million and estimated completion period of one month. The work includes dismantling of dry brick masonry for road edging (1.69 cubic feet), earthwork in ordinary soil for embankment with mechanical compaction to achieve 95-100 percent maximum modified AASHO dry density (2.025 percent cubic feet), provision and laying of road edging 3 inches wide and 9 inches deep in brick on end (900 per running foot), base course of crushed stone aggregate (22.75 percent cubic feet), bituminous priming coat application (45.50 percent square feet), and premix bituminous carpet 2 inches thick with 4.30 percent bitumen content (45.50 percent square feet). The bid security amount is Rs. 0.065 million.
Contractors must submit sealed competitive bids in accordance with the bid schedule provided. The unit rates shall be provided by the tenderer in columns 6 and 7 for all line items. The estimated quantities mentioned in the bid schedule are for tender comparison purposes only and may not correspond to actual quantities executed. Any discrepancy between unit rates and extended totals shall be resolved by taking the unit rate as correct. The work must be executed strictly according to the technically sanctioned detailed estimate, and quantities shall not be exceeded without revised approval from competent authority.
Bid documents are available from the Highways Division Sargodha office. Sealed tenders should be submitted to the Executive Engineer, Highways Division Sargodha, before the closing date of 15 June 2026. The tender will be opened on the same day. Recovery of salvaged materials including brick bats and bricks from dismantling will be made at rates of Rs. 7200 per cubic foot and Rs. 9000 per number respectively. Clause 55 is not admissible for special repair works as per Secretary C&W directive dated 30-06-2022. Rigid pavement or concrete work shall be excavated using paver machines. For any items not mentioned in the bid schedule but executed during work, payment shall be made as per prevailing market rates on the Finance Department website for the month of technical sanction or contractor quoted rate, whichever is lower.
