Description / Scope of Work
The Punjab Highway Department (North Zone) invites sealed bids from qualified engineering firms and contractors for the construction of a pile foundation bridge over Nullah Saim connecting Village Panjgraian to Alipur Sayedan on the Budha Dhola Road with a total length of 0.85 kilometers in District Sialkot, Punjab. This infrastructure development project is advertised through the PPRA e-tendering system and represents a significant investment in improving road connectivity in the region. The procurement is being conducted by the Executive Engineer, Highway Division Sialkot, with all bid submissions and evaluations managed through the Punjab PPRA e-procurement portal.
Intending contractors and firms must be duly registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council in the relevant category with specialization code CE02 and possess a valid renewed PEC License for the financial year 2025-26. All bidders are required to be registered on the Punjab PPRA website at www.punjab.eprocure.gov.pk. Bid security must be submitted in the form of a CDR or Pay Order only, valued at 5 percent of the estimated DNIT cost, in favor of the Executive Engineer Highways Division Sialkot. The successful lowest evaluated bidder shall submit a Performance Guarantee of 10 percent of the contract amount within 15 days of receiving the offer letter, in the form of CDR, bank draft, cashier cheque, pay order, or bank guarantee valid for three months beyond the completion date.
Bidders must quote item rates and total amounts for each item in their financial proposals, with governing factor for evaluation being the rate quoted against individual items rather than percentage-based bids. Online bid submission on the PPRA website closes on 11 June 2026 at 12:30 PM, with original bid security documentation required to be submitted half an hour before bid opening. Tender opening and bid evaluation will occur on 11 June 2026 at 1:00 PM at the office of the Superintending Engineer, Highways Circle Gujranwala, where all responsive bids will be downloaded and successful bidder rates announced.
