Road Construction and Rehabilitation Work

The Punjab Highway Department, Road Construction Division, Rawalpindi, invites tenders from registered firms and contractors for construction of Road Rehabilitation and Technology Transfer in District Rawalpindi. This project, referenced as IPL-5012, covers road construction and rehabilitation work with an estimated cost of Rs. 3,068.400 Million and estimated earnest money of Rs. 154.420 Million. The scope of work extends across the province with a completion period of 10 months. Interested firms must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council in the relevant category and codes to participate in this competitive bidding process.

Eligible contractors and firms meeting the qualification criteria may submit bids through the PPRA e-tendering system. According to PPRA Rule-2014 (Bid Security), all intending contractors must upload the earnest money in Computerised Deposit Receipt (CDR) format in favour of the Executive Engineer, Road Construction Division, Rawalpindi on the PPRA website. The lowest evaluated bidder shall submit Performance Security or Guarantee of 10% of the bid amount within 15 days of receipt of the tender award letter. Performance guarantees must be in the form of CDR, Bank Draft, Cashier Cheque, Pay Order, or Bank Guarantee in favour of the Executive Engineer only.

Bid documents are available on the PPRA website at https://crpro.punjab.gov.pk. Contractors must quote rates against each item as well as total amount in the financial proposal. The tender opening is scheduled for 08/06/2026 at 11:00 AM, where bids will be retrieved and quoted rates of the successful bidder will be announced in the presence of the Tender Opening Committee. Original CDR must be submitted half an hour before the opening of bids. All contractor claims must be submitted electronically.
