UNDP Pakistan is seeking an individual contractor to serve as an Expert for Natural Capital Accounting (NCA) and Ecosystem Valuation. This is a 6-month assignment encompassing 60 working days, with the consultant working on a home-based arrangement with travel to Islamabad and provincial locations as required for consultations and validation workshops. The scope includes developing and implementing natural capital accounting frameworks and ecosystem valuation methodologies aligned with international standards and Pakistan's environmental priorities. The expert will engage with multiple stakeholders across federal and provincial levels to advance understanding and application of natural capital accounting in policy and planning contexts.
Candidates must possess advanced expertise in natural capital accounting, ecosystem services valuation, and environmental economics with a demonstrated track record in similar assignments for governments or international organizations. Relevant professional qualifications, experience with UN or multilateral organizations, and fluency in English are essential requirements. Familiarity with Pakistan's environmental policy landscape and capacity to work collaboratively with government agencies at both federal and provincial levels is highly desirable. The financial proposal must be all-inclusive, covering all travel, meetings, logistics, and operational costs for task execution; UNDP will not bear additional costs except for unforeseen travel approved in advance.
