Expression of Interest for Women with Disabilities and Women Organizations

AwazCDS Foundation Pakistan Centre for Development Services invites expressions of interest from eligible organizations of women with disabilities and women-led organizations across Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to participate in the Beyond Barriers Project. This comprehensive mapping and capacity-building initiative aims to strengthen civil society organizations and organizations of women with disabilities in selected districts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through organizational development, community mobilization, and policy advocacy activities. The project specifically targets the advancement of gender equality, disability inclusion, workplace safety, and accessible employment opportunities for women with disabilities.

Only not-for-profit organizations that are either women-led with at least two-thirds female majority in governance or organizations where women with disabilities lead governance and decision-making are eligible to apply. Applicant organizations must be registered with relevant Pakistani government departments, possess functional bank accounts, hold valid NTN numbers from tax authorities, and maintain clean compliance records without involvement in unlawful activities. Selection criteria emphasize strong district-level presence with established offices at district headquarters, demonstrated mobilization capacity, adequate financial management systems, proven project management experience, prior collaboration with local governments and development partners, and specific experience working on human rights and vulnerable group support, particularly with persons with disabilities.

Selected organizations will perform capacity strengthening of women-led groups and organizations of women with disabilities, conduct community mobilization and awareness activities on gender equality and disability inclusion, undertake advocacy and campaigning against gender-based violence and harassment in workplaces, support disability rights training initiatives, assist in identifying women for TVET opportunities, participate in participatory research and evidence generation, disseminate information and education materials at community level, and engage in policy dialogues with employers, trade unions, and local stakeholders. Interested eligible organizations must submit filled mapping tools by the deadline specified. One organization may apply for only one target district.
