Description / Scope of Work
The Public Health Engineering Division Muzaffarabad, AJK invites electronic bids and sealed bids for the provision of chlorine gas for the water treatment plant in Muzaffarabad under a single stage-single envelope e-bidding system in accordance with AJK PPRA Rules 36(a). This procurement project has an estimated cost of PKR 2,193,488 and is scheduled for completion by June 2027. The scope of work involves supply and delivery of chlorine gas to support the ongoing water treatment operations in Muzaffarabad, with bid documents available for download from the CAD website at www.cwd.ajk.gov.pk.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the Inland Revenue Department (AJK/FBR) and possess valid tax registration for fiscal year 2026-27. Bidders are required to furnish an affidavit confirming they are neither blacklisted nor involved in conflict with any government entity in the AJK or federally administered territories. The bid security amount is PKR 65,800. Contractors quoting rates below 10 percent of the engineering estimate must submit additional bid security equal to the difference between the estimate and their quoted price. Bidding shall be conducted on a percentage basis, with only two decimal places considered for evaluation. Hard copies of original bank receipts proving bid security deposit must be uploaded to the e-bidding dashboard.
Bidding documents and detailed instructions for submission are available on www.cwd.ajk.gov.pk. Electronic bids must be uploaded by 11:00 AM on 22 June 2026, with opening to follow immediately thereafter. Newly registered bidders should obtain username and login credentials from the IT Section at the Office of the Chief Engineer. All documents, including the Letter of Bid, Technical Data Sheet, and BOQ, must be submitted within 48 hours of bid opening in PDF format. Hard copies of original bank receipts and complete bidding documents must be delivered to the Executive Engineer's office within 48 hours. The competent authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids under AJK PPRA Rules Clause 33.
