Description / Scope of Work
Pakistan Forest Institute, Peshawar invites electronic bids for the procurement of specialized laboratory equipment under the ADP project titled Studies on DNA Fingerprinting of Important Pakistani Timbers for their Identification and Illegal Trafficking Control. The total estimated cost of this procurement is PKR 13.615 million. The procurement includes four lots: Lot 1 comprises a Real-Time PCR System, PCR Work Station with Horizontal Laminar Airflow Cabinet, and Class II A2 Biological Safety Cabinet; Lot 2 includes a Mini Bead Ruptor; and Lot 3 consists of Increment Borers in three different sizes (300mm, 450mm, and 600mm). This procurement falls under the jurisdiction of the Climate Change, Forestry, Environment and Wildlife Department of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and is conducted in accordance with KPPRA Rules 2014 as amended in 2022 using the Single Stage Two Envelope procedure.
Bidders must be duly registered with the Federal Board of Revenue for both Income Tax and Sales Tax to be eligible for participation. A bid security equivalent to 2 percent of the bid amount must be submitted as an original CDR in favor of The Forest Geneticist, Pakistan Forest Institute, Peshawar, before the electronic bid submission deadline. The successful bidder will be required to deposit a Performance Guarantee equivalent to 10 percent of the contract value and execute a formal contract agreement prior to contract award. All quoted rates must be in Pakistani Rupees inclusive of all applicable duties and taxes, with statutory deductions to be made in accordance with government rules.
Bidding documents are available free of cost on the EPADS portal, KPPRA KP website, and the Pakistan Forest Institute official website at https://www.pfi.gov.pk/. Electronic bids must be submitted through the EPADS platform by June 17, 2026 at 11:00 AM, with technical bids opening at 11:30 AM on the same date. Only technically qualified bidders will be invited to participate in financial bid opening.
