Description / Scope of Work
This tender concerns the concrete lining and related civil works for the Kot Chutta Sub Minor irrigation channel, extending from RD 0+000 to RD 19+000 in Punjab Province. The project encompasses comprehensive earthwork including borrow pit excavation of ordinary soil, transportation of excavated material up to 2 miles, excavation in irrigation channels and drains to design section and profiles, compaction of earthwork with power road rollers to 90 percent maximum modified AASHO dry density, and jungle clearance over approximately 33,600 square feet. The scope also includes concrete lining work using washed screened graded stone aggregate in 1:2:4 ratio for both bed and slope applications, cement plaster 1.5 inches thick in 1:6 ratio, bituminous joint sealant in construction control joints, bitumen coating to concrete surfaces, and carriage of stone from Sakhi Sarwar to the site over a lead of 64 kilometers. Additional components cover outlets work including excavation and refilling, dismantling of existing outlet structures, reinforced and plain cement concrete work in foundations and structural members, RCC pipe sewers, and data board work at eight locations.
Bidders must be registered contractors with relevant experience in irrigation channel construction and concrete lining works. All construction shall conform to applicable specifications and standards including ASTM specifications for pipe sewers. Contractors must provide appropriate bid security and comply with all statutory requirements and safety standards. Technical and financial proposals must be submitted as per tender requirements, with qualifications and experience details clearly documented.
Bid documents are available from the issuing irrigation authority in Punjab. Sealed bids must be submitted by the closing date specified in the tender notice, with opening scheduled thereafter.
