Description / Scope of Work
The Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC), a statutory corporation established under ordinance XX of 1979, invites prequalification applications from eligible national and international suppliers for fault finding, rectification and repair services for winches installed at PQA TUGS in Sindh for a period of three years from 2026 to 2029. This is an on-demand services contract under an open framework agreement, with PNSC bearing the expenditure of prequalification for fault finding, rectification and repair services for winches. The scope encompasses provision of specialized technical services for winch maintenance, diagnostics, and corrective repairs at the Port Qasim Authority tug facilities in Karachi, Sindh province, with anticipated value and duration extending over the three-year contract period.
Prospective applicants must meet the eligibility requirements specified in the tender documents, which include demonstration of technical expertise in winch repair and maintenance, valid business registration, and relevant industrial certifications. Bid security and performance guarantees as per the tender terms will be required from successful prequalified suppliers. Applicants are expected to comply with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards applicable to marine equipment servicing and port operations.
Prequalification applications must be submitted on prescribed forms duly filled and signed by authorized representatives with relevant supporting documents. The deadline for receipt of applications is July 2026. Interested parties should obtain further information and application forms from PNSC at the address mentioned below during office hours 0930 to 1630 hours. The prequalification process shall proceed on open basis with merit-based evaluation. All prequalified suppliers will be updated accordingly. Bid opening is scheduled for 11:30 AM on 29th June 2026 in the Conference Room, 16th Floor, PNSC Building Karachi, in the presence of bidders who wish to attend. PNSC reserves the right to accept or reject any bid as per Public Procurement Rules 2004.
