Description / Scope of Work
International Islamic University Islamabad, through its Directorate of Works (Civil), invites sealed tenders for providing and fixing imported porcelain tiles in the Dining and Sitting Hall at IIIRD Guest House located on the Faisal Masjid Campus in Islamabad, Federal. The project is being undertaken to enhance the interior finishing of the guest house facility. The tender is issued on an item rate basis with quantities as detailed in the attached Bill of Quantities. The scope of work is comprehensive and includes supply of all imported porcelain tiles, labour, materials, scaffolding, tools, plant and all applicable taxes. Tenderers must submit quotations covering the complete scope; any tender for partial scope of work will be rejected as non-responsive.
Eligibility requirements stipulate that each tenderer must conduct a thorough site visit and acquire complete information regarding the nature and specifications of the work before submitting their tender. Tenderers are responsible for their own costs in obtaining necessary documentation and site details. A tender security equal to 2 percent of the total tender cost must be furnished in the form of a bank draft or pay order in favour of International Islamic University, Islamabad. Any tender submission lacking acceptable tender security shall be rejected outright. The tender validity period is 03 calendar months from the date of tender opening, and the work must be completed within 02 months from the commencement date. A maintenance period of six calendar months will follow project completion, during which the contractor must remedy any defects at no cost to the employer.
Tenders must be submitted on or before 30 June 2026 at 11:00 a.m. to the office of the Director (Works) at New Campus, Sector H-10, Islamabad. Tender opening will take place on the same date at 11:30 a.m. Interested bidders should obtain detailed tender documents and bill of quantities from the Directorate of Works. Liquidated damages are set at Rs. 3,000 per day for late completion, up to a maximum of 5 percent of contract value. A retention money of 5 percent will be deducted from all running and final payments and released within 14 days after maintenance period expiry and defect remediation. No escalation will be provided for materials, labour or other costs.
