The National Institute of Health, Islamabad invites sealed tenders for the annual purchase of livestock and their ration on F.O.R. NIH Islamabad basis for the financial year 2026-2027. This comprehensive tender covers the supply of live venomous snakes including Krait, Russell's Viper, Cobra, and Echis species required for serum production at the Biologics Production Department, along with animal feed ingredients and seasonal fodder for the Institute's laboratory animals and horses. The total procurement scope includes approximately 800 live Krait snakes, 1,000 Russell's Viper snakes, 300 Cobra snakes, 2,000 Echis snakes, concentrated grains such as gram crushed animal grade and wheat bran, mice feed ingredients including fish meal and dried milk powder, snake feed ingredients including fresh milk and eggs, and seasonal fodder items such as carrots, cucumbers, green fodder, and dry fodder. All live snakes must comply with WHO/DRAP requirements including a mandatory two-month quarantine period and must be supplied according to laboratory requirements and venom stock position as determined by the Officer in Charge of the Sera Laboratory.
Eligibility is restricted to firms that are either direct manufacturers or authorized distributors of the items being quoted. Horse feed pellets and mesh for the Institute must be accepted following technical evaluation by the designated technical committee, and bidding companies must provide complete composition details of all feed products offered. All participants are required to submit earnest money deposits as specified in the tender document, with the amount to be calculated based on the quoted items and their value.
Tenders must be submitted by 01 July 2026 at 11:00 A.M. in sealed form to the National Institute of Health, Islamabad. Bidders should include the number and total value of quoted items along with the fixed earnest money amount.
