Description / Scope of Work
University of Okara, a public sector university established under Government of the Punjab Act XIII of 2016, invites sealed bids and tenders from GST and Income Tax registered manufacturers, firms, authorized distributors, dealers, and general order suppliers for the procurement of laboratory equipment for the Department of Pharmacy. The estimated cost of this procurement is Rs. 8,000,000 on a FOR (Free on Rail) basis. The tender encompasses the supply, delivery, installation, and commissioning of specified laboratory equipment as detailed in the attached technical specifications. This procurement is for the financial year 2025-26 and is intended to enhance the laboratory facilities and research capabilities of the Department of Pharmacy at the University of Okara in Punjab.
Eligible bidders must be registered with relevant tax and registration authorities including Income Tax, Sales Tax, and Punjab Sales Tax departments. Bidders must not be under blacklisting declaration by any government department, procuring agency, or the Punjab Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA). Government-owned enterprises may participate only if duly authorized by their respective competent authority. Bidders should not have been associated, directly or indirectly, with any firm engaged by the University to provide consultancy services for preparation of design or specifications. A bid security of Rs. 160,000 (2 percent of estimated cost) is required in the form of a CDR or bank guarantee in the name of the Treasurer, University of Okara, which is refundable. All rates must be quoted inclusive of taxes and on a FOR basis.
Interested bidders can download tender documents from the University of Okara website at www.uo.edu.pk, the PPRA website at www.ppra.punjab.gov.pk, or through EPADS. Sealed bids must be submitted to the Office of the Treasurer, University of Okara, on or before 25 June 2026 by 10:30 AM. Tender opening will take place on the same day at 11:00 AM in the Committee Room, Admin Block, University of Okara, in the presence of bidders or their representatives via E-Pads. Quoted rates shall remain valid for 60 days from the tender opening date.
