Description / Scope of Work
The National Highway Authority (NHA), Central Zone, re-invites electronic bids from eligible construction firms for the widening of Humak Bridge and addition of two lanes on National Highway N-5 from Kilometre 1524+000 to 1536+000. The estimated project cost is Rs. 164,994,623. This infrastructure development project aims to enhance traffic capacity and road safety on one of Pakistan's major national highways connecting multiple cities and provinces. The work falls under contract number BC-PN-2025-26-05-01 and is being undertaken by the Ministry of Communications through the National Highway Authority's Central Zone office located in Lahore.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the Income Tax Department and listed on the Active Taxpayers List of the Federal Board of Revenue. Bidders are required to hold a valid PEC (Pakistan Engineering Council) license for the financial year 2025-26 in Category C-4 and above with specialization codes CE-01, CE-02, and CE-10. All prospective contractors must also obtain EPADS (PPRA) registration at www.eprocure.gov.pk as manual submissions will no longer be accepted in upcoming procurements.
Bidding documents will be available for free download from www.ebidding.nha.gov.pk starting 15th June, 2026. Electronic bids must be submitted to the Member (Central Zone), National Highway Authority at Shahpur Interchange, Thokar Niaz Baig, Multan Road, Lahore, on or before 29th June, 2026 at 1100 Hours. Technical bids will be opened on the same day at 1130 Hours. The procurement follows a Single Stage - Two Envelope method.
