Description / Scope of Work
The Local Government and Community Development Department invites electronic tenders from registered engineering firms and contractors for the construction of roads, streets, drains and culverts in Kunjah, District Gujrat, Punjab. Two schemes are advertised with a combined project value of Rs 36.7 million. The first scheme for Municipal Committee Kunjah is valued at Rs 28.2 million with earnest money of Rs 1,410,000, while the second scheme for Union Council Kunjah is valued at Rs 8.5 million with earnest money of Rs 425,000. Both projects are located in Gujrat district and will be executed as per PPRA E-tendering system rules and regulations.
Intending contractors and firms must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council for the financial year 2025-26 in the relevant category and codes to participate in this tendering process. All bidders are required to register on the Punjab ppra website at www.punjab.eprocure.gov.pk. Bid security in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt must be submitted in favour of the Executive Engineer, LG&CD, Civil Division Gujrat, equivalent to 5 percent of the estimated cost. Original CDR must be physically submitted to the Office of Assistant Engineer, LG&CD Civil Sub Division Gujrat half an hour before bid opening, failing which the contractor will be disqualified. Contractors bidding more than 30 percent below the estimate must submit itemised rate analysis before receiving the work order, or face tender cancellation and forfeiture of earnest money.
Tender documents are available through the E-PAD portal, and all bids must be submitted online through E-PAD before the closing time. The bid opening will take place on 29 June 2026 at 01:00 PM at the office of Assistant Engineer, LG&CD, Civil Division Gujrat, in the presence of the Tender Opening Committee.
