Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation invites electronic bids for the procurement of liquid chlorine with transportation services for multiple water filter plants in Karachi, Sindh on an annual rate contract basis for the financial year 2026-2027. The estimated cost is PKR 97,244,154 with funds allocated under budget grant 6023-05 from KW&SC's own resources. The procurement covers supply to NEK (Old) Filter Plant, COD Hills Filter Plant, Pipri Old Filter Plant, and Gharo Filter Plant. This is a critical operational requirement for providing chlorinated drinking water to the people of Karachi through the corporation's water distribution network.
Bidders must be active taxpayers registered with Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), and listed on the Active Tax Payer list (ATL). Qualification requirements include a minimum of three years' experience completing similar works during July 2022 to June 2025, with at least one similar work valued at 80 percent of the estimated cost or two works valued at 50 percent each. Bidders must submit income tax returns and financial audit reports for the last three years demonstrating average annual financial turnover not less than the estimated cost over the past five years. Bid security of PKR 1,945,000 is required in the form of a pay-order from a scheduled bank in favour of Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation.
Bidding documents are available for download from the SPPRA Sindh EPADS website at https://portalsindh.eprocurement.gov.pk. Electronic bids must be submitted by 2:00 PM on July 6, 2026, and will be opened at 2:30 PM the same day at the office of the Accounts Officer (Sewerage) at 9th Mile Karsaz, Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi in the presence of the procurement committee.
