Description / Scope of Work
The National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST), Islamabad invites bids from reliable, experienced, and financially sound manufacturers and suppliers of furniture for the Procurement of Furniture & Fixture for Schools/Institutions at NUST H-12 Campus Islamabad. The tender covers Lot-1 comprising furniture items required for the Aerospace Department SMME, including 300 student classroom chairs (22" x 24"), 6 instructor classroom tables with chairs (4' x 2' & 24" x 20"), 6 notice boards (4x4 with aluminum frame), and 6 rostrums (50" x 27") for classroom lecture delivery. All items must be supplied with installation, commissioning, and delivery within four to six weeks from the date of purchase order issuance. Bidders must be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for both sales tax and income tax, active on the tax payer list, and registered with SECP as a furniture manufacturer. To qualify, bidders must not be blacklisted or under any litigation, and must provide undertakings on stamp paper to this effect. A bid security of 3 percent of the total quoted value is required as a refundable deposit via pay-order or bank draft in favor of NUST Islamabad. Additionally, bidders must submit a non-refundable bidding documents processing fee of Rs. 5,000 in original form at the time of technical bid opening. A minimum warranty period of one year is mandatory, during which the supplier must provide repair, maintenance coverage, and item replacement at no additional cost. Selected firms must provide a performance guarantee of 5 percent of the purchase order amount.
Bids must be submitted electronically through EPADS by 30 June 2026 before 11:00 AM, with hard copies deposited to the P&LP Directorate (Procurement Section) on the same day. Electronic bids will be opened on the same day at 11:30 AM in the presence of the Local Purchase Committee (LPC) members and available firm representatives. Bid prices must be quoted in Pakistani Rupees (PKR) all-inclusive and remain valid for at least 90 days from the tender opening date. Technical proposals must conform to specifications in Annex-H, and vendors are encouraged to inspect samples at the P&LP Directorate and complete the inspection certificate as per Annex-F.
