Pakistan Engineering Council Islamabad invites sealed bids for the procurement of works under Single Stage Two Envelopes (SSTE) bidding procedure. Three packages are offered with a combined estimated value exceeding Rs 19.6 million, located in Sialkot district, Punjab province. Package 1 involves construction of boundary wall, gate, prayer room, water pump and veranda for dead body cremation at village Rattiyan Sayedian (estimated cost Rs 3,326,647). Package 2 covers renovation and provision of missing facilities in Christian Community Graveyard Sialkot (estimated cost Rs 2,836,892). Package 3 includes construction of boundary wall with safety wire, main gate and rooms in the community center of Swover Sahib Gurdwara Babe De Bair Sahib, Sialkot (estimated cost Rs 13,499,342). All three packages have a completion period of 10 months.
Bidders must be registered with Pakistan Engineering Council and possess minimum C6 category or above contractor license to be eligible for bid submission. Earnest money deposit at 2% of estimated cost is required: Rs 66,533 for Package 1, Rs 56,738 for Package 2, and Rs 269,987 for Package 3. The bid security ensures good faith participation and performance commitment from contractors.
Bid documents are available as per the Standard Form of Bidding Documents for Procurement of Works issued by Pakistan Engineering Council. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes containing technical proposal in one envelope and financial proposal in another envelope. Bid opening and evaluation will follow the SSTE procedure outlined in the document dated June 11, 2007. Prospective bidders should obtain complete bidding documents and submit bids with all required schedules, technical specifications, drawings and compliance certificates within the specified deadline.
