Description / Scope of Work
The Punjab Buildings Department invites item-rate tenders from registered engineering firms and contractors for maintenance and repair (M&R) works at multiple facilities in Mianwali district, Punjab. Six schemes are being tendered: M&R to Judicial Complex (estimated cost PKR 3.000 million), Central Jail inside premises (PKR 4.200 million), Central Jail exterior (PKR 3.500 million), High Security Prison main work (PKR 4.092 million), High Security Prison additional work (PKR 3.000 million), and electrical supply items for M&R offices across all departments (PKR 2.500 million). The total estimated value across all schemes exceeds PKR 20 million. Work locations include the Mianwali district facilities, with a completion period of six months for each contract.
Eligible bidders must hold valid registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in the relevant category and codes, and must be registered on the Punjab E-Procurement System website at https://ep.punjab.gov.pk/auth/login. Earnest money deposits ranging from PKR 0.150 million to PKR 0.210 million (5% of estimated cost) must be submitted as Call Deposit Receipts through scheduled banks in the name of the Executive Engineer Buildings Division Mianwali. Original CDR must be presented to the Tender Opening Committee half an hour before bid opening. As per PPRA Rules 2014, successful bidders must furnish 10% performance guarantee within 15 days. All financial bids must include complete rate analysis and detailed quotations against each DNIT/BOQ item; incomplete bids will be declared non-responsive.
Bids are to be filed online through the Punjab E-Procurement System portal. The tender opening will occur at the office of the Commissioner, Sargodha Division on 27 August 2026 at 11:00 AM, with quoted rates announced at 11:30 AM. Bid documents must be complete and submitted through the PPRA e-procurement platform. The Grievance Redressal Committee constituted by the Government of Punjab Communication & Works Department will address bidder complaints as per PPRA regulations.
