Description / Scope of Work
The Medical Superintendent of PHQ Teaching Hospital Gilgit invites sealed tenders from well-reputed, experienced, licensed and registered firms, distributors, dealers, manufacturers, pharmacies and service providers for the supply of medicines, surgical items, films for X-ray, MRI, CT scan, mammography, machine and lab items under two development schemes for the financial year 2026-27. The first scheme covers local purchase of medicines and surgical items with a CDR amount of 3,500,000 Pakistani rupees. The second scheme relates to local purchase of medicine and surgical items for the Prime Minister's Sehat Sahulat Program with a CDR amount of 8,000,000 Pakistani rupees. Both tenders are to be submitted by 10 July 2026, with bid opening scheduled for the same date at the hospital premises in Gilgit, Gilgit Baltistan.
Eligible bidders must be well-reputed, experienced, licensed and registered firms with valid registrations and licenses as per applicable regulations. Bid security or CDR (Certificate of Deposit Receipt) from a scheduled bank must accompany each bid; bids without this requirement shall be rejected. Only registered firms having valid licenses and registrations are eligible to participate. Quotations must be submitted on the firm's original letterhead, duly signed and stamped. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Security equal to ten percent of the annual estimated contract value within the prescribed period after issuance of the Letter of Acceptance.
Tender documents with specific terms and conditions are available from the office of the undersigned during duty hours on written request with treasury challan of tender document fee. Tenders must be submitted in sealed envelopes and shall not be entertained if received after the stipulated date and time. If the tender opening date is declared a public or local holiday, the tender shall be opened on the next working day at the same time and venue. The successful bidder must establish and maintain a medicine dispensing facility within PHQ Teaching Hospital Gilgit or within a radius of 100 meters from the hospital premises; if such facility is not available at the time of bidding, it must be established within two days after award of contract.
