Description / Scope of Work
The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Contract Management Department invites electronic bids from eligible manufacturers, authorized dealers, suppliers, joint ventures and firms with relevant experience, financial capability and technical expertise for the procurement of fire vehicles of various types, aerial ladder platform snorkel type and additional equipment's for the modernization of KMC Fire Brigade Department in accordance with recognized international standards (EN/NFPA). The procurement includes post-warranty operation and maintenance services covering five years warranty and preventative maintenance. The estimated bid security is PKR 230.7 million with a tender cost of PKR 3,000. This international competitive bidding tender is being floated under the Single Stage two Envelope of Sindh Public Procurement Rules 2010 (Amended) and applicable Government procurement regulations.
Eligible bidders must be manufacturers, authorized dealers, suppliers, joint ventures or firms having relevant experience, financial capability and technical expertise in fire vehicle manufacturing and related equipment supply. Bid security shall be submitted in the shape of a pay order, demand draft or bank guarantee in favour of the Project Director, Local Government Project and must be refundable. A scanned copy of the bid security shall be uploaded on e-PADS along with the bid, while the original bid security must be delivered to the office of Director Contract Management, Room No. 12, 2nd Floor, KMC Head Office, MA Jinnah Road, Karachi before the deadline for submission of bids.
Interested bidders may download the bidding documents from the e-PADS portal available at www.portalsindh.eprocure.gov.pk or through their respective e-PADS dashboards. Bidders not already registered with e-PADS are required to complete their registration on the system prior to submission of bids. Bids, duly completed and signed by the authorized representative of the bidder, shall be submitted electronically through e-PADS on or before 3rd August 2026 at 1 pm. The bids shall be opened electronically through e-PADS on 3rd August 2026 at 2 pm. Detailed specifications, eligibility requirements, evaluation criteria and other terms and conditions are provided in the bidding documents. The procuring agency reserves the right to reject any bid or all bids at any time prior to the acceptance of a bid, subject to the relevant provisions of the Sindh Public Procurement Rules 2010.
