Description / Scope of Work
The Communication & Works Department Astore invites sealed bids for the construction of three wooden bridges at Dashkin over the Astore River in Gilgit-Baltistan. The project includes the construction of a 180-foot suspension bridge known as Said Alam Das Dashkin Over Astore River (PARAT-II). This procurement is being conducted under SSOI method as per Rule 38 of GB PPRA Rules, 2022, with PPRA Reference No. PSI-2026A092481 dated 09-04-2026. The project is located in the Astore region of Gilgit-Baltistan and aims to improve connectivity and infrastructure in the area.
Bidders must be qualified contractors registered with relevant authorities. Bid security and compliance with standard bidding documents (SBD) requirements are mandatory. Interested parties must submit their technical and financial proposals in sealed envelopes. Bidders are required to demonstrate technical capability and financial stability to undertake the bridge construction project. Rejection of bids may occur due to non-submission of required documents including Completion Defect Liability (CDR).
Bid documents are available from the Communication & Works Department Astore. The bid submission deadline was 28 April 2026 at 12:00 PM, with bid opening scheduled for 28 April 2026 at 12:30 PM. A total of 10 bids were received during the tender process. Bidders should contact the official department office in Astore for further clarification and document acquisition. The evaluation is conducted based on lowest responsive bidder criteria as per GB PPRA Rules, 2022.
