GEPCO is procuring 220kV transmission towers in two separate packages (NCB-STG-4: 5 EA+0 towers + 7 L-60 towers with extensions; NCB-STG-5: 12 EG+0 towers with variable extensions).
This is a medium-scale, one-off infrastructure procurement for planned FY2026-27 expansion. Key constraint: all equipment requires pre-existing type-test certification from NTDC-designated labs—fresh testing cannot substitute. 120-day delivery window is standard but demanding for tower fabrication. Two separate bids allow partial participation but impose divergent turnover thresholds (PKR 50M vs 92M), suggesting differentiated supplier capability targeting.
Who can bid: Bidders must be registered/prequalified with DISCOs, NTDC, WAPDA, GENCOS, or PPMC as authorized dealers, manufacturers, or suppliers. Minimum three-year average annual turnover: PKR 50M (NCB-STG-4) or PKR 92M (NCB-STG-5). All equipment must hold valid type-test certificates from NTDC-designated labs per Type Test Policy 2023. No fresh type testing permitted. NTN/tax registration typically required for financial credential verification.
