Bidders must be active in the FBR Active Taxpayer List (ATL) and hold valid Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) licenses with specialization in relevant fields (EE03/04 for electrical engineers, ME-01/02/03/04 for mechanical engineers). For Bidders: Our Analysis PAKISTANTENDER INSIGHT

SSGC seeks electrical and mechanical parts supply with installation for their Karachi workshop—a complete turnkey package requiring PEC-licensed engineers.
Scale appears medium, covering workshop equipment provisioning for a major utility. The August 2026 deadline provides reasonable lead time. This is likely one-off procurement tied to facility upgrade rather than recurring maintenance. Bidders must navigate dual compliance (FBR ATL + PEC licensing) and the mandatory physical bid bond submission to Karachi office, which creates logistics friction for non-local firms.
Who can bid: Active FBR taxpayer status (ATL registration) mandatory. PEC licenses required: EE03/04 for electrical work, ME-01/02/03/04 for mechanical work. Typically, SECP registration as contractor/supplier also expected though not explicitly stated. Bidders must demonstrate capacity for supply and installation under PPRA Rules 2004.
