Description / Scope of Work
The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP) invites sealed quotations from eligible, qualified manufacturers, suppliers, and authorized distributors for the supply and transportation of transmission and distribution equipment required for the Patamich Mini Hydel Project in Upper Chitral. The RFQ number is CAPP/0304/2026, published on August 3, 2026. The project scope is substantial, encompassing the delivery of 18 HT iron poles (30 feet), 360 LT iron poles (25 feet), 18,000 meters of AAC(GNAT) conductor, 4,000 meters of ACSR(Gopher) conductor, 228 pin insulators, 30 disc insulators, 8 D-fuse sets, 8 step-down transformers (50 kVA), 38 wooden cross arms, 76 cross arm braces, 720 D-shackle insulators, 8 stay sets, 55 meters of four-core cable, 8 rod-type earthing sets, and comprehensive transportation services to Patamich, Khot, Upper Chitral, located 130 kilometers from Chitral Town. The scope includes inspection, factory testing, quality assurance, packing, loading, transportation, and delivery of all equipment to the project site. All materials must be new, unused, and manufactured in accordance with Pakistan Standards, IEC, ISO, or internationally recognized standards.
Bidders must demonstrate experience of at least two similar contracts worth PKR 20 million each within the last 10 years and an average annual turnover of PKR 30 million over the last three years, supported by audited financial statements. A bid security of 2.5 percent of the total bid price is mandatory, and quotations must remain valid for 45 days from submission. Late or incomplete bids will be rejected without consideration.
Quotations must be submitted in hard copy on the bidder's letterhead, signed and stamped, in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the RFQ number, to the tender box at AKRSP Regional Program Office near Shahi Qilla Chitral by close of business on August 17, 2026. Evaluation will be based on technical compliance (pass/fail) and financial competitiveness (lowest evaluated responsive bidder). Payment terms are structured as follows: 60 percent after factory inspection and delivery to Chitral Town, 35 percent after site delivery, and 5 percent retention after the 12-month warranty period.
