Description / Scope of Work

The National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) invites sealed bids from reliable OEM and authorized suppliers for the procurement of laptops for the MARCOMS DTE department at its H-12 Campus in Islamabad, Pakistan. This single-stage, single-envelope tender is open to bidders registered with PPRA for e-procurement on the e-Pak Acquisition and Disposal System (E-PADS). The procurement is intended to equip the Marketing Communications and Design Technology Engineering department with modern computing equipment to support its academic and operational activities at the Islamabad campus location.

Eligible bidders must be registered with PPRA for e-procurement participation and must submit a tender processing fee of Rs. 5,000 (non-refundable) in the form of a Pay Order or Bank Draft made out to SGI Account, NUST H-12, Islamabad, physically in original at the time of bid opening. Complete bidding documents containing detailed specifications, terms and conditions, and technical requirements are available on the E-PADS website at https://epads.gov.pk/. Bidders may request additional information from the P&LP Directorate, Near NT Park, NUST H-12 Campus, Islamabad, by telephone or email.

Sealed e-bids must be submitted exclusively through the EPADS portal by 18 August 2026 at 1400 hours, with bid opening scheduled for 1430 hours on the same day. NUST reserves the right to reject any or all bids at any time prior to acceptance under rule 33 of the Public Procurement Rules 2004. For Bidders: Our Analysis PAKISTANTENDER INSIGHT

Independent analysis by PakistanTender — not part of the official notice. Always confirm details against the original tender document.

NUST is procuring laptops for its MARCOMS DTE department through e-procurement. The tender is modest in scope — processing fee is only Rs. 5,000, suggesting a small to medium-value acquisition. Bidders must be OEM or authorized suppliers registered with PPRA. The tight 30-day window (published 8 August, closes 18 August 2026) leaves minimal prep time. This appears to be a one-off departmental equipment refresh rather than a framework contract. Successful bidders should have existing PPRA e-procurement credentials and institutional supplier relationships.

Who can bid: Bidders must be registered with PPRA for e-procurement on E-PADS and must be reliable OEM or authorized suppliers. Typically, Pakistani bidders require NTN registration with FBR, valid SECP registration (if a company), and PPRA enrollment. No PEC certification is needed for IT procurement. Any restrictions specific to laptop sourcing or import duty status are not stated in the notice.
