For Bidders: Our Analysis PAKISTANTENDER INSIGHT
Independent analysis by PakistanTender — not part of the official notice. Always confirm details against the original tender document.
MEPCO is disposing of burnt/damaged power infrastructure scrap—high-voltage cables, bus bar isolators, and post insulators—via open e-auction. The quantities are substantial (15,198 meters of cable alone), suggesting a medium-scale salvage contract. Registration on EPADS 2.0 is mandatory; bid security requirement of PKR 846,770 indicates moderate tender value. Closure is August 2026, providing reasonable preparation time. This appears to be a one-off disposal rather than a recurring supply arrangement, typical for utility asset clearance.
Who can bid: Bidders must be tax-registered with SECP or relevant authority and registered on the EPADS 2.0 e-procurement platform. The notice specifies 'tax registered firms/companies/bidders' without explicit PEC or sector restriction. Typically, scrap disposal open auctions accept any registered entity meeting tax compliance; however, confirm EPADS registration category requirements with the portal.
