Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Multan invites bids for the provision and installation of five rental diesel generator sets, each with a capacity of 800 KVA, to be deployed at four operational locations: Chungi No. 9 on Old Shujabad Road, Sameejabad, Vehari Road, and Khan Village Disposal Stations in Multan, Punjab. The estimated contract value is Rs 17,000,000 and the procurement is being conducted through the Punjab e-Procurement system under single-stage single-envelope bidding procedures as per PPRA regulations 2024 and PPA 2014. This is a rental arrangement with a contract duration of two months from the date of issuance of the work order, extendable by one additional month upon mutual agreement and satisfactory performance of both parties.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in Category C-6 or above with relevant electrical or mechanical work specialization codes. Bidders are required to have a minimum of three years' documented experience in the rental, installation, operation, and maintenance of diesel generator sets with 300 KVA or higher capacity, and must have successfully completed at least three similar contracts during the preceding three years, each valued at a minimum of Rs 3.00 million with attached work orders and satisfactory completion certificates. Additionally, bidders must own or have lawful possession of at least five operational 300 KVA or above diesel generators, be registered active taxpayers with valid NTN and PNTN numbers, maintain active status on the Federal Board of Revenue's Active Taxpayer List, and provide a commitment to supply a replacement generator of equal or higher capacity within 12 hours in case of breakdown as per bidding conditions.
Bidding documents are available on the Punjab e-Procurement system portal (www.ep.punjab.gov.pk) and must be submitted electronically through the same portal by 25-08-2026 at 11:00 AM, with bids opening the same day at 11:30 AM. A digital bid security of 3% of estimated cost (Rs 5,10,000) is required and must be verifiable on the e-procurement system. Interested contractors may physically attend the bid opening at the Director Works office of WASA Multan located at 316-A Shamasabad Colony, Chungi No. 9, Multan on 25-08-2026 at 11:30 AM to witness bid retrieval and successful bidder announcement. All bids must be submitted in PDF format via the e-Procurement portal; manual bids and submissions via post or telegraph are not accepted.
