Description / Scope of Work
Karachi Water & Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC) invites e-bids through the EPADS portal of SPPRA Sindh for the provision and fixing of a complete protective safety net installation inside manholes of the sewerage system. The work includes all materials, labour, tools, plants, equipment and transportation required for installation at manhole openings to ensure safety for pedestrians and road users. The estimated cost is Rs. 5.3 million, with tender reference KW&SC/DPR/2026/, and the project is funded from KW&SC's own budget allocation for the financial year 2026-2027. This is a single-stage, one-envelope procurement process advertised under Sindh Public Procurement Rules 2010 (amended to date). The work falls under civil engineering category CE-09 and CE-10 specialisations.
Eligible bidders must possess valid registration with the Sindh Revenue Board (SRB), Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and active taxpayer status. PEC registration in category C-5 or above with specialisation in CE-09 or CE-10 is mandatory. Firms must demonstrate experience carrying out similar works completed within the last five years, with at least one comparable project of minimum 80% of the estimated cost or two projects of at least 50% each. Income tax returns for three years and financial audit reports for five years must be submitted, with average annual turnover not less than the estimated cost over the last five years. Details of machinery ownership or rental arrangements and information on professional engineers and technical staff must be provided. A non-refundable tender fee of Rs. 10,000 and bid security as specified are required.
Bidding documents are available for download from the EPADS portal (http://portalsindh.eprocurement.gov.pk). E-bids must be submitted by Friday, 4th September 2026 at 02:00 PM. Bids will be opened on the same date at 02:30 PM in the office of the Accounts Officer (Project) at Room No. 13, 1st Floor Block-C, 9th Mile Karsaz, Shahrah-e-Faisal, Karachi, in the presence of the procurement committee and interested contractors.
