Description / Scope of Work
Islamabad Electric Supply Company Limited (IESCO) invites sealed e-bids from eligible bidders for the disposal of unserviceable store material under Tender No. 74. The disposal is conducted on an as-is-where-is basis through competitive bidding. Bidders are required to inspect the listed store material and satisfy themselves regarding type, quality and condition prior to submission of offers. The tender is open for participation from qualified entities and covers multiple lots of unserviceable and scrap material held at various IESCO formations across Islamabad in the Federal Territory.
Bidders must submit sealed earnest money or bid security in the form of a Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) or bank guarantee valid for 120 days, issued by a scheduled bank of Pakistan with a minimum rating of A+, in favour of the Chief Executive Officer IESCO Islamabad before the bid closing time. The earnest money must be in the bidder's own name; cash deposits or documents in names other than the tender participant will result in rejection. Bids lacking the required earnest money will be rejected summarily. Bidders must further undertake that their firm is not blacklisted by NGC, WAPDA, DISCOs, GENCOs or any government department or organization.
Successful bidders must deposit full payment within 21 working days from the date of issuance of the Letter of Acceptance, failing which earnest money will be forfeited with no claims against IESCO. Upon payment, a Release Order will be issued authorizing removal of material within 21 working days; thereafter, rental charges at 1 percent per day of the total disposed material value will accrue. The quoted price is exclusive of government taxes; 18 percent GST and 10 percent Income Tax or other applicable levies shall be charged. Payment must be made in the form of CDRs only. For bid documents and further information, bidders should contact the Chief Engineer (Material Management) at IESCO Head Quarters, Islamabad. The tender offer remains valid for 120 days as specified in the bid schedule. All weighment, counting and loading of material shall ordinarily be done by the bidder.
