The World Bank in Islamabad, Federal Government invites sealed tenders from qualified consultancy firms to build Environmental and Social (E&S) capacity within Pakistan's hydropower development sector. This high-level consultancy project focuses on conducting a comprehensive gap analysis of existing frameworks and designing as well as delivering specialized training programs to enhance institutional capabilities. The scope of work involves assessing current environmental and social safeguards, identifying technical deficiencies, and implementing a robust capacity-building strategy to align local hydropower projects with international standards. Eligible firms must demonstrate extensive experience in E&S management, hydropower infrastructure, and large-scale technical training within the South Asian region. Interested consultants are required to submit their detailed technical and financial proposals through the World Bank’s procurement portal by 12 May 2026 to be considered for this critical energy sector initiative."
