Description / Scope of Work
The Punjab Building Department invites item-rate based tenders for maintenance and repair works at three government buildings in Gujranwala, Punjab. The works comprise maintenance and repair of the Office of Special Branch Gujranwala (estimated cost Rs. 10,00,000), Central Jail Gujranwala (estimated cost Rs. 49,47,000), and Judicial Complex Gujranwala (estimated cost Rs. 49,90,000). All three contracts are for three-month completion periods. Bids are invited from engineering firms and contractors duly enlisted or renewed with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) for the current financial year in the relevant category and specifications. The procurement is conducted entirely through the Punjab e-Procurement System at https://ep.punjab.gov.pk in compliance with PPRA Rules amended to date.
Eligible bidders must possess a valid PEC License with requisite relevant specifications and code applicable to maintenance and repair works. Contractors must register on the e-Procurement System to participate. A 5% bid security must be submitted electronically through the system; no physical financial instruments including Call Deposit Receipts will be accepted. The tender documents, containing detailed requirements, terms, and conditions, are available on the e-Procurement System and the PPRA website at https://ppra.punjab.gov.pk. All financial bids must be complete with item-wise rates and comprehensive rate analysis; incomplete bids will be declared non-responsive.
Tender documents duly signed and stamped must be submitted online by 16-09-2026. Bids will be opened on the same date at 11:00 AM at the office of the Superintending Engineer, Buildings Circle No. 2, Gujranwala, in the presence of bidders or their authorized representatives. Results will be announced at 11:30 AM the same day. The successful bidder must furnish 10% Performance Guarantee within 15 days of letter of intent.
