Description / Scope of Work
Punjab Highways Department invites tenders from registered Engineering Firms and Contractors for the rehabilitation and modification of a round about at V-Chowk in Vehari, Punjab. This infrastructure improvement project is estimated at PKR 39,399,170 with a completion period of 60 days. The work includes rigid pavement and RCC drain construction using concrete batching plants and mechanized paving equipment, along with TST/DST surfacing executed by mechanized systems. Interested bidders must register on the Punjab e-Procurement System at https://ep.punjab.gov.pk and hold valid PEC registration in a relevant category for the financial year 2026-27. Bids will be opened on 30 September 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Office of the Commissioner Multan Division in Multan, where successful bidders and quoted rates will be announced in the presence of the Tender Opening Committee.
Contractors and firms must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council in the relevant category and possess valid renewed PEC licenses for FY 2026-27. Bid security equal to 5 percent of the estimated cost must be submitted digitally as online payment via the Punjab e-Procurement System in favour of the Executive Engineer Highways Division Vehari. Physical bid securities, CDRs, pay orders or demand drafts are not accepted. The lowest evaluated bidder shall submit a performance security or guarantee at 10 percent of the contract amount. All bid documents, security documents and performance guarantees must be submitted digitally through the portal only; no manual or physical submissions are permitted. Rates must be quoted against each item and grand totals; bids quoted above or below the estimated DNIT cost will be considered non-responsive.
Bid documents are available on the PPRA website at https://eproc.punjab.gov.pk/view_tender.aspx. Bidders must upload their bids before 30 September 2026 at 11:30 AM on the e-Procurement System. Contractor claims for completed work must be submitted electronically and processed through the Digital Measurement Book. The department reserves the right to reject any or all bids at any time prior to acceptance. Submission of false information or forged documents will result in disqualification and disciplinary action. Recovery of credit for old material will be adjusted manually during bid evaluation.
