Description / Scope of Work
Punjab Prisons Department, Government of the Punjab invites electronic bids for the procurement of 6500 kilograms of chicken for supply to District Jail Gujrat. The estimated tender value is PKR 3,152,500. This is a single-stage two-envelope procurement conducted through the PPRA e-Procurement portal in accordance with Punjab Procurement Rules 2014 (amended). The successful bidder will be required to deliver the chicken within the specified timeline as per the bid data sheet and technical specifications. The procurement is open to suppliers, dealers, distributors and general order suppliers registered with relevant tax and registration authorities.
Eligible bidders must be registered with the PPRA e-Procurement portal (ePADS) and relevant tax authorities including Income Tax and Sales Tax. Bidders are required to deposit bid security equivalent to 2 percent of the estimated tender cost through Government Treasury using the PSID generated during tender submission. Bidders must not be blacklisted by the Procuring Agency or PPRA, and shall not have been engaged in consultancy services for preparation of tender documents. Government-owned enterprises may participate only if legally authorized by competent authorities.
Bid documents are available for download from the PPRA website (https://www.ppra.punjab.gov.pk), ePADS portal (https://ep.punjab.gov.pk/auth/login), and Punjab Prisons Department website. Bids must be submitted electronically on or before October 2, 2026 at 11:00 AM. A pre-bid meeting will be held on September 27, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Office of the Superintendent, District Jail Gujrat. Bid opening will occur at 11:30 AM on the closing date.
