Description / Scope of Work
Highway Division Taunsa invites electronic tenders from Pakistan Engineering Council registered engineering firms and contractors for rehabilitation and improvement of a metalled road from Kalma Chowk to Tameer-E-Nau Chowk (Old College Road) in Taunsa, District D.G.Khan, Punjab. The project covers a road length of 1.40 kilometres and is funded under Own Source Revenue for financial year 2026-27. The estimated project cost is Rs 69,352,000 with a completion period of six months. Tendering is conducted through the Punjab PPRA e-Procurement System in compliance with PPRA Rules 2014.
Intending contractors must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council in the relevant category and codes, and must maintain active registration on the Punjab PPRA website at www.punjab.eprocure.gov.pk. Bid security of 5% of the estimated cost must be submitted digitally through the Punjab e-Procurement System linked with Bank of Punjab in favour of the Executive Engineer Highways Division Taunsa. The lowest evaluated bidder will be required to submit a performance guarantee of 10% of the contract amount within 15 days of receiving the offer letter, valid for three months beyond the completion date, also through digital payment. Physical bid securities such as CDRs, pay orders, drafts or cheques are not acceptable.
Bidding documents are available for download from the Punjab PPRA website at https://ep.punjab.gov.pk. Contractors must quote item rates and total amounts for each item with a grand total in the financial proposal; percentage-based quotes above or below the approved cost will not be accepted. Bid opening will occur on 07.10.2026 at 11:30 AM at the office of the Commissioner, where quoted rates of the successful bidder will be announced in the presence of the Tender Opening Committee. No price variation is admissible under the project. All documents must be uploaded on the e-Procurement System Portal; manual submissions will not be entertained.
