Description / Scope of Work
Municipal Committee Gujar Khan invites item rate tenders on E-procurement platform as per PPRA rules for four construction and renovation projects in Punjab. The scope includes construction of two welcome monuments with allied works on G.T. Road at Sohawa and Mandra sides (estimated costs Rs. 2,766,000 each), construction of a front boundary wall, gate and pillars for MC office Gujar Khan (Rs. 3,057,200), and renovation and decoration of the front entry gate and boundary wall of Sarwar Shaheed Nishan-e-Haider Library Housing Scheme No. 1 with construction of two toilets/bathrooms (Rs. 5,029,700). Total estimated project value exceeds Rs. 13.6 million. All works fall under technical schedule rates per MRS 2nd Biannual 2026.
Bidders must hold valid PEC license in category C-6 or above and provide certificates of registration with active income tax and active sales tax under relevant authority. A statutory undertaking on stamp paper confirming non-blacklisted status is mandatory. Bid security (earnest money) is five percent of estimated cost, ranging from Rs. 138,000 to Rs. 251,485 per project. In case quoted rates of the lowest bid are equal to or less than five percent below estimated cost, the lowest bidder must deposit additional performance security of five to ten percent within 15 days of award notice, in accordance with works rules 2017.
Bid documents are available on E-procurement and PPRA website or can be purchased from the MO(I) branch by paying a printing fee of Rs. 5,000. Bids must be submitted on E-procurement platform before 05-10-2026 at 1:00 pm. All received bids will be opened on the same date at 1:30 pm at the office of Municipal Committee Gujar Khan in the presence of available contractors or their authorized representatives. Conditional, incomplete, cutting, overwritten and doubtful bids will be rejected. The procuring authority reserves the right to reject all bids prior to acceptance under Punjab Procurement Rules 2014. Successful contractors must execute an agreement on government stamp paper before receiving work orders.
