Description / Scope of Work
The Water Management & Irrigation Department, Gilgit-Baltistan invites sealed tenders for the construction of a protective band at Mujahid Colony, Jutal, District Gilgit. This civil works project carries an estimated cost of PKR 6,659,545.43 and is being tendered under single-stage one-envelope procedure. The work involves protective infrastructure development in the Jutal area of Gilgit district, a region requiring flood and erosion mitigation measures. Eligible contractors licensed by the Pakistan Engineering Council in category C6 and above may submit bids. This is a straightforward construction contract with defined scope and locality in northern GB.
Bidders must hold valid PEC registration in relevant code through June 2027 and current renewal fees for 2026-27. A bid security of PKR 199,786 (3% of estimated cost) is required in the form of a CDR from any scheduled bank of Pakistan. Contractors must also provide no-sick-scheme and no-litigation certificates. If quoted rates fall below 10% of the estimated cost, an additional performance guarantee of 50% of the differential amount is mandatory. All bidding documents must be obtained by personal application at the Deputy Director's office upon submission of original certificates and payment of the bidding document cost (PKR 6,000) via Treasury Challan.
Bidding documents are available from the office of the Deputy Director, Water Management & Irrigation Department, District Gilgit upon submission of required credentials and the prescribed fee deposited through Government Treasury. Sealed bids must be delivered by 13 October 2026 at 11:00 AM; opening occurs the same day at 11:30 AM at the Deputy Director's office in the presence of attending bidders. All bid securities are retained until tender acceptance and refunded thereafter. The department reserves the right to reject any or all bids under GB PPRA Rules.
