Description / Scope of Work
The Deputy Conservator of Forest, Chakwal, Government of Punjab is inviting sealed tenders for construction of water conservation and soil management infrastructure in Chakwal district. The scope comprises four distinct items: construction of 14 water recharge devices at Rs 755,943 each (total Rs 10,583,202), 4 water tanks at Rs 500,000 each (Rs 2,000,000), soil conservation and check dams across 50,000 cubic feet at Rs 100 per cubic foot (Rs 5,000,000), and 10 water harvesting pits at Rs 100,000 each (Rs 1,000,000). The combined estimated project value is approximately Rs 18,583,202. This is a water resource management initiative undertaken by the Punjab Forestry Department to improve groundwater recharge and soil conservation in the Chakwal region.
Eligible bidders must hold a valid Pakistan Engineering Council license for 2026-27 in the relevant construction category and maintain registration on the Punjab E-Procurement portal. Contractors are required to submit a fresh bank statement evidencing at least 60 percent (Rs 11,311,921) of the project value in their bank account. Earnest money equivalent to 5 percent of the estimated cost must be deposited either online or as a certified demand receipt before tender opening. All bidders must provide valid National Tax Number and General Sales Tax registration with FBR clearance certificate, an affidavit confirming non-blacklisting status, and experience certificates from at least two government department projects. Preference will be given to firms with minimum two previous relevant work orders from forest or government departments.
Tenders are submitted exclusively through www.ep.punjab.gov.pk with a closing deadline of 12 October 2026 at 11:00 AM. Technical and financial bids will be opened the same day at 11:30 AM at the Deputy Conservator of Forest's office in the District Complex, Chakwal, in the presence of bidders or their authorized representatives. No price variations are admissible; rates remain fixed for the 2026-27 financial year. Successful bidders bear responsibility for all applicable taxes, completion to supervisory officer satisfaction with biannual monitoring reports, and handover of works to standard.
