Description / Scope of Work
District Council Sheikhupura invites sealed tenders for the construction of a carpet road from Bhoy Dhakku to Tibbha Marrasian in Tehsil Sharaqpur Sharif, District Sheikhupura, Punjab. The estimated project cost is Rs. 19,870,000 (including 5% Punjab Sales Tax), with work scheduled for the period 1 July to 31 December 2026. The scope includes earthwork embankment, sub-base and base course construction using stone products, dry brick road edging, bituminous priming coat application, plant premixed bituminous carpet laying with compaction, and construction of a 2-foot span 24-foot roadway culvert. The project represents a medium-scale infrastructure development for the District Council Sheikhupura.
Eligible participants must hold valid registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council in the relevant category and codes. All bidders must be registered on the Punjab PPRA e-procurement website (www.punjab.eprocure.gov.pk). Earnest money of 5% of the estimated bid cost (Rs. 993,500) must be submitted as a Cash Deposit Receipt in favour of the Chief Officer, District Council Sheikhupura. Original CDR documentation must be physically submitted to the tender opening committee half an hour before bid opening, with failure to do so resulting in disqualification. Any submission of fake information or documents will result in blacklisting from all Civil and Works Department tenders and referral to PPRA and PEC for appropriate action.
Bidding documents are available from the Office of the District Council Sheikhupura, Company Bagh, Sheikhupura (telephone 056-9200129). Bidders must upload bid rates online at the PPRA portal (http://eproc.punjab.gov.pk/ViewTender.aspx) up to half an hour before the opening deadline. Tender opening will occur on 7 October 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Chief Officer's office, where all bids will be retrieved and quoted rates announced in the presence of the Tender Opening Committee. The procuring agency reserves the right to reject any or all bids under PPRA Rule 35.
