Description / Scope of Work
District Council Rawalpindi invites sealed bids for the rehabilitation of a retaining wall at Sharki Qazian, UC Qazian, Tehsil Gujar Khan in Punjab province. The estimated project cost is Rs. 3,611,000 and bids are being solicited under a single stage single envelope process through the electronic procurement system. This maintenance and repair scheme is open to approved contractors for the financial year 2026-2027. Bidders must be registered with relevant authorities and possess valid contractor licenses as per PPRA requirements. The earnest money deposit required is Rs. 180,550, equivalent to 5 percent of the estimated cost. Bids must be submitted through the EP system with item-wise rates quoted in figures, and overwriting, cutting, tempering or incomplete bids will be rejected outright. Bidders failing to meet quality standards or quoting rates exceeding 5 percent above the estimate must deposit performance security within 15 days or forfeit their earnest money.
Eligibility is restricted to contractors approved by the relevant authorities and registered under SECP or other competent bodies as applicable. All participating contractors must possess valid registration, valid NTN, and evidence of previous experience in similar civil works. The bid security of Rs. 180,550 must be submitted as per scheduled bank requirements. Installation of caution boards at the work site for safety and prevention messaging shall be the responsibility of the selected contractor as a condition of contract.
Bidding documents are available on the PPRA website at www.ppra.punjab.gov.pk and the EP system at www.ep.punjab.gov.pk. Bids must be submitted electronically on the EP system by 06-10-2026 at 11:00 AM. All received bids will be opened on the same date at 02:00 PM in the office of District Council Rawalpindi in the presence of contractors or their authorized representatives.
