Description / Scope of Work
The Regional Directorate of Food, Karachi Region invites bids for miscellaneous labour services covering refilling of wheat in polythene and jute bags, stitching (including all required materials), and stacking operations at all PRCs and godowns across the Karachi Region. The contract period extends until 30 June 2027, with an approximate quantity of 2,000,000 bags (approximately 200,000 metric tonnes of wheat) to be processed on a need basis under SPPRA Rules 2010 as amended. This is a service-based contract with pricing quoted per bag of 101 kilograms gross weight, submitted through the e-PAK Acquisition and Disposal System.
Bidders must submit a non-refundable tender fee of Rs. 5,000 via cash, pay order, or paid challan to Food Account-II at SBP or NBP, with receipt evidence required at submission. Bid security is calculated on the total estimated cost quoted; any difference in bid security amount at the quoted rate will be recovered from the bidder. Tender documents must be submitted electronically by 2:00 PM on 5 October 2026, with opening scheduled for 2:30 PM the same day.
The notice emphasizes that any items or portions of work may be suspended, withdrawn, or terminated at any time without assigned reason, and no claims will be entertained for such actions. Contractors must demonstrate capacity to provide labour services across all designated storage facilities in Karachi Region and undertake responsibility for all stitching materials and stacking requirements as per tender specifications.
