Description / Scope of Work
GEPCO invites electronic bids from Pakistan Engineering Council registered contractors for the construction of approach roads at three 132 kilovolt grid stations located at Bodhomalhi, Kot Agha and Pasrur in Punjab. This single lot project has an estimated cost of PKR 9,939,669 and is being procured on a National Competitive Bidding basis under Single Stage Single Envelope procedure in accordance with PPRA Rules 2004 as amended. The work encompasses civil infrastructure development supporting GEPCO's power distribution network in the region.
Eligible bidders must hold valid Pakistan Engineering Council registration for 2026-27 under category CE-10 with current Punjab Revenue Authority and Federal Board of Revenue registrations for sales tax purposes. Contractors must demonstrate satisfactory completion of at least one similar project with NTDC, DISCOs or WAPDA during the preceding two years, supported by photocopies of relevant work orders. Bid security of 2 percent of Bill of Quantities cost must be submitted as a Call Deposit Receipt from a scheduled Pakistani bank. Performance security of 10 percent of the contract price is required at contract signing. Joint ventures, consortiums and associations are not permitted.
Tender documents are available from the Executive Engineer, SS&T/L Division, GEPCO located at 132 kV G/S Cantt near DC Colony in Gujranwala during office hours on working days. The tender fee is PKR 3,000. Sealed bids must be submitted by October 15, 2026 at 12:00 noon, with opening scheduled for 12:30 noon the same day. Bid validity is 120 days. Contractors already defaulting or blacklisted by any WAPDA entity are ineligible. Authority letters are required for contractor representatives receiving documents or participating in bidding.
