Description / Scope of Work
District Council Chakwal invites sealed bids for the execution of two separate civil works projects totalling approximately PKR 16.158 million. The first scheme involves construction of street and drainage infrastructure with allied works from the house of Arshad Hussain Shah to the house of Muhammad Ali Shah in Village Pinwal, Tehsil and District Chakwal, valued at PKR 1.158 million. The second scheme comprises construction of streets, drains and retaining walls with allied works at Village Rabal, Tehsil and District Chakwal, valued at PKR 15.00 million. Both projects are being procured by the District Council Chakwal through the electronic E-P System portal managed under the Punjab Procurement Rules 2014.
Bidding is open to contractors registered on E-PADS for the fiscal year 2026-27 under the MRS 2nd Bi-Annual 2026 schedule. Bids will be conducted using the Single Stage Single Envelope procedure. Each bidder must submit a bid security equivalent to 5% of the estimated cost: PKR 57,900 for Scheme 1 and PKR 750,000 for Scheme 2. These securities must be obtained from any scheduled bank in Punjab in favour of District Council Chakwal and submitted electronically by the closing deadline. Additional performance security of 10% may be required from the lowest bidder if their quoted rates are equal to or less than 5% below the estimated cost, to be deposited within 15 days of acceptance.
Bidding documents are available free of cost on the E-P System portal at https://ep.punjab.gov.pk/. Interested contractors must submit their sealed bids through the same portal by 11:00 A.M. PST on 12 October 2026. Bids will be opened publicly at 11:30 A.M. PST on the same day in the office of District Council Chakwal in the presence of bidders or their authorised representatives. Bids must be item-wise, clearly readable, complete and unambiguous; incomplete or corrupted submissions will be rejected. Successful contractors must execute a formal agreement on government-prescribed stamp paper within seven days of receiving the acceptance letter to obtain the Work Order.
