Description / Scope of Work
The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, through its Contract Management Wing Finance and Accounts Department, is inviting tender bids from experienced firms for desiltation and transportation of de-silted nala material to designated dump sites across Karachi district during the monsoon year 2026. Nine separate schemes are being tendered with estimated costs ranging from Rs. 55.930 million to Rs. 72.966 million, covering major areas including Central, West and Keamari, South-I and South-II, East, Korangi, Malir and District Council Karachi. The procurement is conducted through the Single Stage One Envelope Procedure via the Sindh E-Procurement and Disposal System, with a maximum of two tender works permissible per bidder to ensure optimal resource allocation and effective crisis management for natural disasters and sudden infrastructure failures during monsoon season.
Eligibility requirements specify that bidders must possess demonstrable experience in the relevant domain with substantially responsive and strictly compliant bids meeting all conditions prescribed in bidding documents. Bid Security of five percent of the estimated cost must be provided through a Pay Order or Bank Guarantee in favor of KMC, valid for a minimum period of six months. A non-refundable bidding document fee of Rs. 5,000 per tender is required in the form of a Pay Order drawn in favor of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation. Only substantially responsive bids from qualified bidders shall be considered for financial evaluation, with disqualified or non-responsive bidders having bids returned upon approval of the Competent Authority.
Interested bidders may download complete bidding documents from the EPADS portal at https://sindh.eprocure.gov.pk with submissions due electronically through EPADS no later than 03:00 p.m. on 08/06/2026. Bids shall be opened the same day at 03:30 p.m. through EPAD SPPRA Portal and at the office of the undersigned. Hard copies of bidding proposal documents in sealed envelopes must be submitted to verify authenticity. If the scheduled submission or opening date falls on a public holiday or non-working day, proceedings are rescheduled to the next official working day. The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in accordance with Rule 25 of the Sindh Public Procurement Rules 2010 without assigning reason or incurring liability to bidders.
