Description / Scope of Work

The Office of the Senior Civil Judge (Civil Division) Bahawalpur invites sealed electronic bids from Sales Tax and Income Tax registered firms and companies for the procurement of furniture items for Civil Courts District Bahawalpur during the financial year 2025-2026. The tender covers four lots of furniture procurement with a total available budget of approximately 9.98 million Pakistani rupees. Lot 1 includes office tables of varying dimensions and side/book racks with a budget of 2.425 million rupees. Lot 2 comprises revolving chairs for officers and three-seater sofa sets valued at 2.560 million rupees. Lot 3 covers computer tables and litigant benches with an allocation of 2.350 million rupees. Lot 4 includes office chairs in poshish and cane materials along with computer chairs totalling 2.649 million rupees. The procurement process follows the Single Stage Single Envelope procedure as per PPRA rules 2014, with electronic bidding conducted through the official E-Procurement System.

Eligibility requirements mandate that bidders must be Sales Tax and Income Tax registered with valid certificates of registration as manufacturers, importers, exporters, distributors, retailers or wholesalers. Firms must be active tax payers and submit their last two years of bank statements along with the most recent filed tax returns and active tax payer certificates with their technical proposals. Bidders are required to submit bid security in the form of a CDR or Demand Draft equivalent to 5 percent of the total estimated cost for their respective lots. Physical samples of each furniture item must accompany the bid security submission, and both documents must be delivered in original form half an hour before the bid opening time; failure to comply will result in disqualification. The successful bidders must also deposit 10 percent of the total purchase order value as refundable performance security for six months and an additional 0.25 percent as stamp duty under the Stamp Act, 1899.

Bidding documents and detailed specifications are available for download from the PPRA and E-Pads websites. Queries regarding tender documents can be submitted online until 1 June 2026 at 11:00 PM. Electronic bids must be submitted by 9:00 AM on 8 June 2026, with samples and bid security required by 9:30 AM the same day. Bid opening will occur at 10:00 AM on 8 June 2026. Successful suppliers must deliver all furniture items to Civil Courts District Bahawalpur within six days of receiving the supply order. Income Tax and Sales Tax will be deducted at source according to government rules and policies.
