Description / Scope of Work
The International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences at the University of Karachi in Sindh invites expressions of interest from biotechnology, agrochemical, and biopesticide companies for collaborative field trials, validation, registration, and commercialization of an innovative biopesticide technology developed under HEC-TDF project TDF 04-076. This advanced formulation is based on ethanolic plant extracts and nanoformulation technology specifically designed for effective management of whitefly (Bemisia tabaci) and other major sucking pests, offering a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative to conventional chemical pesticides with proven efficacy under controlled conditions.
Interested organizations should possess expertise in biopesticide development, large-scale field trials, and regulatory approval processes. Companies are expected to demonstrate capacity for market distribution and capability to conduct pilot-scale trials under local agro-climatic conditions. Prospective partners willing to collaborate on downstream commercialization are particularly encouraged to express interest, with technical discussions and Memorandum of Understanding negotiations available for qualified applicants.
Proposals must be submitted to the office of the Director at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences, University of Karachi, on or before 15th June 2026. Interested parties are advised to contact the undersigned Director for detailed technical information, discussion of collaboration terms, and further procedural details regarding the technology transfer opportunity and joint venture possibilities.
