The Government of Punjab invites applications for the position of Legal Consultant on a contract basis. This is a specialized role designed to provide comprehensive legal advisory services to public sector organizations in Punjab. The Legal Consultant will manage complex legal matters, service laws, and taxation issues across multiple forums and authorities. The position requires an Advocate of the High Court with a minimum of five years of professional experience in legal practice, demonstrating extensive expertise in handling legal matters within both public and private sector organizations.
The successful candidate must be qualified to provide legal advice, guidance, and representation on matters relating to service laws and taxation issues. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in managing legal proceedings before the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA), High Courts, and other competent judicial forums. The role encompasses preparation and submission of replies to show-cause notices, filing and management of appeals, pursuing tax references and related legal proceedings, and representation before judicial and quasi-judicial authorities. Applicants must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to review, analyze, and advise on applicable laws, rules, regulations, and legal frameworks relevant to public sector organizations.
