Description / Scope of Work
The Municipal Committee Jauharabad, under the Local Government and Community Development Department of the Government of the Punjab, invites quotations through the E-PADS system for arrangements of water Sabeel and provision and fixing of Qanats (one rent) for security purposes during Moharram ul Haram 2026 within the jurisdictions of Jauharabad in Punjab. The estimated cost of this work is PKR 0.848 million (8,48,500 rupees). This procurement is intended to ensure adequate water supply and temporary shelter arrangements for religious processions and gatherings during the sacred month of Moharram in the Jauharabad area.
Intending contractors and firms must be active taxpayers with the Pakistan Revenue Authority (PRA), Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), and registered with the E-PADS system. An earnest money deposit of 5 percent of the estimated cost (PKR 42,425) is required in the form of a CDR or pay order from any scheduled bank in Punjab, made payable to the Chief Officer of Municipal Committee Jauharabad. The original CDR must be submitted to the quotation opening committee two hours before bid opening; failure to submit the original CDR within the stipulated time will result in disqualification as non-responsive.
Bidders may obtain tender documents from the E-PADS portal from the date of quotation notice publication until 15 June 2026 at 12:00 PM. All bids must be submitted through E-PADS with rates quoted item-wise and in words; incomplete, unfilled, cutting, or overwritten bids will be rejected automatically. Bids will be opened on the same date at 12:30 PM in the office of Municipal Committee Jauharabad in the presence of available contractors or their authorized representatives. The procuring agency may reject all bids at any time prior to acceptance under PPRA Rules 2014, Chapter VI, Clause 35.
