Description / Scope of Work
Hyderabad Electric Supply Company invites sealed bids from eligible suppliers for the supply of goods under the Electricity Distribution Efficiency Improvement Project (EDEIP) financed by the World Bank. The contract covers the supply of 2,300 units of Three Phase Smart AMI Meters, 831,000 meters of 2 Core 10 mm² Aluminium (Phase+ Neutral) XLPE 600/1000V Aerial Bundled Cable, and 69,000 meters of 4 Core 16 mm² Aluminium (3-Phase+ Neutral) XLPE 600/1000V Aerial Bundled Cable. This procurement is being undertaken through national competitive bidding in accordance with World Bank Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers dated November 2020. The project is located in Hyderabad, Sindh Province, and aims to improve electricity distribution efficiency across the region.
Bidding is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the World Bank Procurement Regulations. Bidders must submit bids accompanied by bid security as follows: for Lot I (Three Phase Smart AMI Meters and ABC Cables combined), PKR 1,000,000 (One Million PAK Rupees); for Lot II (ABC Cables only), PKR 3,000,000 (Three Million PAK Rupees). The bidding process follows a one-envelope bidding procedure, and a pre-bid meeting will be held on 04-06-2026 in accordance with the tender documents. All bids must comply with the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form requirements as mandated by World Bank regulations.
Interested bidders may obtain bidding documents free of cost from the HESCO website at https://www.hesco.gov.pk or from the office of the Chief Engineer (Development) at Bungalow A-1, HESCO Power Wing Colony, Hussainabad, Hyderabad, during office hours 0900 to 1600. Bids must be delivered by 22 June 2026 at 11:00 AM to the Chief Engineer (Development) PMU HESCO address. Electronic bidding is not permitted, and late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened on 22 June 2026 at 11:00 AM in the presence of bidder representatives.
