Description / Scope of Work
The Punjab Highway Department invites tenders for special repair work on an approach road from M.A. Jinnah Road to Eastern Gate Darbar Baba Bulleh Shah via Haji Fareed Road in Kasur district. The project covers a length of 600 running feet with an estimated cost of PKR 49.996 million and earnest money requirement of PKR 2.5 million. The completion period is four months. Work includes dismantling of existing flooring and road metalling, earthwork in ordinary soil for embankments with mechanical compaction to AASHTO standards, and provision and laying of sub base course using stone products from Quarry Sikhanwali. This tender is issued under the PPRA E-Tendering System as per government procurement rules.
Intending contractors and engineering firms must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council in relevant category codes with valid renewed PEC licenses for the financial year 2025-26. All bidders are required to register on the Punjab PPRA website at www.punjab.eprocure.gov.pk. Bid security must be submitted exclusively in the form of a CDR payable to the Executive Engineer Highways Division Kasur at 5 percent of the estimated DNIT amount. The successful lowest evaluated bidder must submit performance security at 10 percent of contract amount within 15 days in the form of CDR, bank draft, cashier cheque, pay order, or bank guarantee valid for three months beyond completion. Submission of fake documentation will result in disqualification and disciplinary proceedings.
Bidders must quote rates against each item in the financial proposal with grand totals; any mathematical discrepancies will be resolved using item rates for evaluation. Rates quoted as percentages above or below estimated cost will not be accepted. Bids must be uploaded on the PPRA website half an hour before opening, with original CDRs submitted at the same time. Tender opening will take place on 17-06-2026 at 10:00 AM at the Office of Commissioner, Lahore Division, Lahore, where responsive bids will be downloaded and rates announced by the Tender Opening Committee.
